    This listing features a collection of one-of-a-kind sample skirts created during the design process for Aurora Skirts. Each piece was made from limited-run fabrics as we explored new prints, colors, and seasonal ideas—meaning no two are the same, and these prints will not be restocked.

    This beautiful chiffon ballet skirt is perfect for class or rehearsals, creating elegant, lengthening lines on all dancers. Inspired by the artistry of ballet, each skirt is made for dancers, by a dancer.

    What materials/fabrics does Aurora Skirts use?

    The Materials:

    The fabrics used in the creation of each skirt are purchased from La Panda Love Fabrics and Spoonflower, a textile company that connects visual artists to creator like Sophie!

    The Skirts are made of 100% Recycled Polyester rPET .​​

    We know what you are thinking, Polyester = petroleum?

    Chiffon, the traditional fabric used in a ballerina's skirt is typically made of Polyester, Sophie and ACC decided to go with this particular fabric because it is a more sustainable option for the traditional look. rPET reduces the need for primary extraction and uses 30-50% less energy to produce.

    Another exquisite creation from AuroraSkirts 💕 FYI there appear to be various cut styles for these skirts. I have received ones that seem fuller/more gathered at waist therefore falling a little fuller than the sleeker cut that falls in a tighter slant around the thighs. The solid colors are cut with much more subtle hi-lo slant than the prints. Personally my favorite is the sleeker hi-lo slant because I prefer less of a fabric swirl when turning. All styles are beautifully crafted and I’m so happy to be supporting Sophie’s company by purchasing these 🤗
